If you have a brand new car or own a vehicle that you value so much, getting it wrapped with paint protection film is a smart option. and its best to wrap your car before any scratches or wear and tear begin to pile up even after just few commutes on your daily car. Most Dealerships charge around +$5K to apply the polyurethane PPF to an entire vehicle, protecting its finish from scratches, scuffs, scrapes, and chips. Even smaller film applications called “wear and tear or highline kit package,” range from $199 and up.
DIY PPF sheets cut to various sizing from Armor up PPF are now available to purchase on our online store.
Dealerships and Professional PPF installers would ONLY carry and install Polyurethane-based PPFs. Vinyl wrap is made from polyvinyl chloride, otherwise known as PVC. It is not bad but viny wrap offers only moderate protection when it comes to scratches , rock chips, and scrapers. It’s thinner (around 0.003″) than Polyurethane (0.008″-0.010″) and rips easily due to very little shear strength. Removing vinyl wrap after some time lapse can be challenging, too
TPH is just another term for Vinyl.
Polyurethane is much tougher, flexible to adhere to round panels and lasts longer than vinyl or TPH wrap.
The film is installed using a combination of water and slip solution. also use a tack solution which is designed to assist in aiding the film to sit into sharp curves and bodylines.
see the recommended slip solution and tack solution mix.

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied to the exterior surfaces of a vehicle.
After application, it chemically bonds with the vehicle’s factory paint establishing a layer of protection. A ceramic coating carries hydrophobic qualities and adds overall shine of the paint work. Despite the wild claims of some manufacturers and installers, a ceramic coating does not reduce the risk of stone chips, scratches, scuffs, and swirl marks.
PPF is physically thicker than ceramic coating and vinyl and acts as a barrier. PPFs are proven to withstand rock chips all the way to minor bumper scrapes.
1 “mil” is 1/1000th of an inch. And this should not be confused with a “millimeter” per Metric
System used outside of the United States.
When measuring film thickness a “micron” is commonly used as well.
– 1 mil = 25.4 micron(μm). Or just 25 micron for simplicity.
– 1 mil is equal to 25 micron.
– 1 micron is 0.00039 inch.
